Captain David (2013):

This is by far my favorite piece that I've done during school. The assignment was to show our skills in after effects using green screen and particle effects. We also had to create a world in which our actor could jump in and out of. At first the background was going to be completely 2d but I decided against it  because the puppets were photo collages and was going to look kind of weird. Im glad I switched it looks much better. I found my calling in this piece. I found that I love puppet animation and special effects. With the mix of my photography and animation skills, I finally found what I am really good at.

Our Dear Professors (2012):

So this is a GEM. During my second year at DCAD I collaborated with my friends Erica Kukowski [link] and Donna Jang [link] for our video class final (I dont remember the actual name of the class.) We had complete artisitc freedom, which was very nice! We got the idea from a tv that some of us were into at the time called Creature Comforts. But instead of just random people, we chose a teacher to interview and animate. I animated the stop motion transformer Shockwave, who was our animator instructor Pahl Hluchan [link]. Erica animated the lions and she interviewed Lynn Tomlinson [link], our illustrator instructor. And finally the very talented Donna Jang animated Marcel Franck [link], our video class instructor, as a dolphin.

My Decepticon Fantasy (2011):

This is NOT my ACTUAL fantasy but the idea came up when a few of my friends and I were still students at DCAD. We were discussing our ideas for our finals as first years in 2010-2011. I already knew at the time that I wanted to pursue stop motion animation with my action figures (and after this piece I wanted to pursue stop motion as a career but quickly grew out of that phase), but I had no idea what about. One of my friends made a joke about how much I love transformers and should just make a porno of one. While the idea was amusing, Im pretty sure that idea would not go so well with my family. However I adored the idea and toned it down a bit. Inspired by the tv show Robot Chicken, I printed cut out mouths from the show that I found on the internet. Man this animation took forever but I loved doing it everyday that I worked on it UNLIKE A CERTAIN JUNIOR PEICE I JUST FINISHED AND SHALL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY EVER AGAIN PERIOD. I thank my boyfriend for his amazing Megatron voice and my roomate and best friend who voiced Starscream and Thundercracker. It may not be the best animation in the world but it is a very special one to me.
